As someone who literally gave up everything to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time trainer, she puts her heart and soul into helping her students achieve their goals. What I love most about my job is seeing my clients overcome the impossible and being there to help them with their transformation, both physically and mentally. We live in a fast-paced world where we don’t always take care of ourselves and our bodies. Some make excuses about not having the time or money to get healthier. We would rather take a pill for an easy fix on something that can be cured with fitness.
I want to create a program and mindset to help my clients realize that you don’t need a lot of time, money or pills to get better. We aim to take the complication out of fitness and create something for everyone. I want everyone to not only feel comfortable, but also hold them accountable in changing their lives.
My own personal success with weight loss prompted my friends to ask me, “How the heck did you do it?” and “Can you help me?”
I wanted to help, but I didn’t know enough at the time. Then I attended my first “BAM Class” with my sister and met George. He was crazy intense – but I loved it! Shortly after that I went to an early morning bootcamp with a friend and I was hooked. I observed the trainers and clients and it hit me that this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to not just train people, but also help create a lifestyle change and help them reach their goals. After I got my certifications, I was still working at my full-time job and training on the side.
I wasn’t happy and a phone call from a friend spurred me to pursue training full time and I’ve never looked back. My philosophy as a trainer is to focus on continual, life-long learning as I work toward enhancing the well-being of my clients by empowering them with the knowledge, skills, support, guidance and resources to assist and inspire them on their journey to a healthier life. Together we will transform your quality of life through active participation in regular fitness activities. The integration of guided fitness programs, to make your health goals become a reality in a caring, fun, and dynamic environment.
There is a banner hanging in the Heritage LifeFIT gym that reads, “Fitness is hard; Losing weight is hard; Training is hard; Being overweight is hard; Diabetes is hard; Being unhealthy is hard … PICK YOUR HARD!”
I 100 percent believe in that message. Making a lifestyle change to become a healthier, better version of yourself isn’t easy, but we’re all here to help. Being a part of a community where you can engage in group workouts is motivating, it also offers a support system. A place where there are other individuals striving for the same goals you are wanting to achieve. That’s why I love being a part of the Heritage LifeFIT crew. We are very passionate about wanting to help others change their lives.
We also show those who are wary of exercise that it’s not as complicated as you think. Know that we are here to help and support you every step of the way!
