Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Registered Nurse, Certified Diabetes Educator

Health Education Department Nurse

What I enjoy most about my field is finding ways to incorporate fitness and diet into the lives of my patients in a way that works best for their specific needs. As a nurse educator, my goal is that patients grow and learn to take control of their health and well-being while having fun and knowing that our team is running alongside, cheering them on.

After I graduated from college with a biology degree, I went to work in clinical research as a coordinator for a large hospital in Dallas. It was in that role I began to realize I truly loved taking care of people, teaching and encouraging them, and looking out for their best interest. If I didn’t have to work, I’d travel the world in a tiny home with my family.

It is my hope that I become a true resource for my patients and their support team and that together, we can make a healthier and happier patient. When they join my classes or come to one-on-one sessions, I want to get to know them, understand their background, what motivates them and how I can fit into the picture.
